Gather Our Children Home

The Gather Our Children Home on the Pine Ridge Reservation is one the most important programs we support here at Gathering Thunder Foundation. Our primary goal for this unique children's home is to make sure we provide essential needs like clothing, diapers, household items, and blankets to assure that the children do not go without the basic daily essentials. We have a lot of help through our community donors and volunteers in making this happen. Additionally, our commitment to Gather Our Children Home is to pay their monthly electric bill; this makes it one less worry for the Gather Our Children Home staff. Gathering Thunder Foundation continues to find ways to provide positive support and resources to Gather Our Children Home as it understands their mission and supports their dream of building a bigger facility.

My sister, Cheryl Noisy Hawk, was able to break free of her responsibilities for just a few moments for a quick photo with us and photographer, Nicole Werner at Gather Our Children Home last month. A great big, "Wopila!" goes out to all of our supporters, donors and volunteers who help us to assist the precious young ones who find safe haven with Cheryl and her amazing staff at Wakanyeja Gluwitayan Otipi. www.GatherOurChildrenHome.org
